But
sorry, It’s a Pootrol
Next
weekend is the 20th anniversary Hyden Humps. The event should be an
exciting one with the much anticipated night section awaiting the
competitors. It will also be a very exciting one for me personally as I
will be taking a break from taking photos to jump into a “race car” (I
use the term loosely as the real one - 80 series, will………. hopefully
reappear at the Gas Dash).
Flat Out
Off Road Racing Team has been working hard (thanks Dad) to prep a
Production 4wd Drive Class Nissan Pootrol. The previously tried, tested
and reliable Raw Nitro Max Shock Absorbers have been fitted as they have
shown that they are more then adequate at soaking up the rough stuff.
Keeping the driver and Navigator safe is an FJG Engineering Roll Cage
and racebar with spotlights for the night section. The driving on the
weekend will be shared between myself (Jason) and dad Frank Galea. We
are looking forward to some friendly competition from Dan Rodgers who is
also debuting a new Production 4wd Class Toyota Hilux, but maybe
Dominator should be looking out because there’s a new red rocket in
town!
Lots of
thanks must go to team sponsors Raw 4x4 for the Nitro Max Shock
Absorbers and FJG Engineering for the Roll Cage, racebar and Preparation
See you
all at the track, Jason
