Outer Bounds Racing Baja 1000

So....... We are heading to Baja early tomorrow morning. So this will be the last you hear from us unless I can get on a computer somewhere down there…..

We have packed the car with more tools and spare parts than you can imagine, we have axles, steering arms, starter motor, p/steering pump, alternator, CVs, pulleys, coils, plugs, sensors and the list goes on. Hopefully we wont need any of it but at least we have it in case something does happen.

Our plans are to pre-run the very first 15miles and the last 15miles tomorrow and on Thursday we have contingency (scrutineering) and Friday morning the race starts.

Here is where you can watch the race unfold……

www.2008SCOREBaja1000.com This will be the best website to follow the race on. This is the official site for live updates. The live tracking is a really good deal. We have a GPS tracker that we had to mount in the car so that they can track us Live at all times. So look for car 113 and you will be able to see where we are every step of the way. But if this doesn’t work for whatever reason then go to one of these other sites……..

http://www.tforcemotorsports.com/ click on the lights in the top left of the screen and then once in that section click on the live reporting button on the right hand side. It will most likely be just updating on the Tforce boys but they will still have general race updates.

http://dirtnewz.com/events-08/baja1000/index.shtml DirtNewz will have live updates, just go to the race coverage section on the left hand side……..

http://dirtnewz.com/events-08/baja1000/bfgrelay.shtml Here you will be able to listen to the BFG relay, they will call out each car that passes through each one of their checkpoints……

First car will leave the line at 10:30am Friday which is 4:30am Saturday morning for you at home. Our car will leave the line about 10 minutes later. We will be the 13th class 1 car and there will be 29 Trophy Trucks in front of us as well, one of which is the new VW factory backed TT team which I have attached a couple of photos of.

There will also be a few bike riders competing as said on

THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER:

Australia has brought its largest entry ever to this race with a total of five entries. The Thunder from Down Under includes the Class one family team (No. 113) led by Brian Robinson and four solo riders: Lloyd Andrew (Class 30, No. 303x), Darren Griffiths (Class 40, No. 402x), Adrian Lovelace (Sportsman M/C>250cc, No. 257x) and Warren Lovelace (Sportsman ATV, No. 57a). The Lovelaces are brothers.

Be sure to check out their progress as well.

Check out this video http://www.dirtnewz.com/events-08/baja1000/vid-b1ktest.shtml there is a little bit of in the video of us talking (like a bunch of corkeys!).

I will be checking our email (cant necessarily reply though.) on my phone pretty much the whole race until I get in so if you want any messages passed on to anyone just send an email through….

Pictures are of the Wilsons Shop, us testing, prepping the car and the VW truck......

Thanks again for your support....
