Flat Out
Off Road Racing Team has just finished it’s first test session in
readiness for the upcoming season. With the “Pootrol” and the “80” put
through their paces and both cars coming through with little or no
issues.
For the
80 Series, this run was a good test for the new stronger front diff
after the recent damage at the Gas Dash. With the new front diff, and
minor shock set up changes and the big V8 purring along the car ran
strongly and should, fingers crossed, run well at the next event.
The
Pootrol (low budget entry and poor relative to the 80) used this test
run as an opportunity to test the new rear coils which came off the
front verge of a near house in a roadside cleanup! The Pootrol was also
sporting a set of new “old school” rims which surprisingly didn’t come
from a roadside cleanup, but close to it.
All in
all the cars came through well with only a few little jobs to be done
before Yealering
